Sankar Vedanta Math-O-Mission Trust was founded based on the spiritual doctrines preached by Adi Shankaracharya and the vedic philosophy of non-dualism.The charitable, humanitarian trust, established by Sri Sri 108 Swami Vivodhananda Saraswati Maharaj has been undertaking several projects for mass-welfare, especially in the field of education, health services. Since the very inception in the year of 1992 at the sub-urban locale of Chandanhati Village, Barasat at North 24 Parganas, close to the city of Kolkata, the trust has been working sincerely from the grass root level of the society gradually trying to develop the quality of social scenario in its surroundings. People have been benefited by its free of cost medical dispensary, ambulance service, health camps, counselling centre for the patients. The trust believes on the notion of recognising the inner self in every individual that originates from the universal cosmic energy. All its projects and agendas are nothing but attempts to discover that non-dual soul which is omnipotent & omnipresent in all the living beings and manifestation of the same almighty. That same spiritual notion of self-discovery and to reach salvation worked as the primary thought behind the establishment of the Vivodhananda Saraswati Nursing Institute.

Eligibility criteria :
Age and Sex : The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years in 31 st December of the year .The maximum age limit for admission shall be 35 years. Only female candidate would be eligible for the post.
Minimum Educational Qualification :
(a) Candidate with Science who have passed the qualifying 12 th standard examination (10+2) and must have obtained a minimum of 45 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together and passed in English individually and vernacular with aggregate of 45 %/. (40 % in case of reserved category) from recognized Board under HSCE or other equivalent Board. (b) Candidates are also eligible from State open school recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NICS ) recognized by Central Government having Science subjects and English only. (c) English is a compulsory subject in 10 +2 for being eligible for admission to B. Sc Nursing.

The course curriculum is great and the faculty members are very friendly they help a lot and guide us in a very good manner.
Placements from our college is average.almost 55% students get placements in campus interview.others do not qualify in the campus.some of our college teachers are the members of our college placement cell.they try their best for every student's placements.
My faculty right from the first semester took us for plenty of visits to various hotels as well as to a food truck factory.
Well experienced and talented faculties are there in our college.their way of teaching and devotion to study is commendable.they want to give every student propers training and teaching so that after passing out they can easily get their desired job.
No i am not residing in the hostel, but the hostel here is awesome , the rooms are provided on sharing basis and the rooms are air-conditioned ,food provided in hostel is also very good.
Vivodhananda Saraswasati Nursing Institute ,kolkata is a good institute for engineering.i got admitted in the college this year ,the college is having well equipped labs.
